View and download File Exchange files

  • If you need to make changes to and upload the file back to your portal, you'll need to download it first.
  • New
is shown next to new files in File Exchange. You can use
    Remove
    to delete these indicators.
  • File Exchange documents are scanned for viruses.
  1. In the Documents section of the Navigation pane, select
    File Exchange

    If
    File Exchange
isn't present, you don't have access to it.
  2. Select the folder that contains the file you want to view.
    note
You may need to open subfolders to access the file. If you can't find a file in the File Transfers folder, the file transfer location might have expired. This causes NetClient CS to delete the folder and its files. Refer to the file transfer email from our firm to check the expiry date.
  3. Choose how you want to view or download files:
    • To view a file, select its name.
      note
Depending on how your computer is configured, you'll be asked if you want to save or open the file.
    • To download all files from a folder, including subfolders, select
      Download All
      .
      note
The application creates a ZIP file you can save.
    • To download selected files or folders, select them, then use

    tip
If you can't find files that were uploaded for you, you might need to delete your temporary internet files or cached files.
    Use
    Up
to move back through the folder structure, and
    Home
to return to the original view.
  4. If Sign and Reject appear to next to the file in the File Exchange screen, review the file and use
    Sign
    or
    Reject
    .
