Form 05-102, Public Information Report print requirements

Taxpayers should file Texas Form 05-102, Public Information Report when the entity's annualized total revenue is below the non tax due threshold: $2,470,000 for 2024. To Print the Texas Form 05-102, Public Information Report, check the following:
  1. Verify that the entity doesn’t have Severe diagnostics for Texas:
    1. Go to the menu, select
      View
      then
      Diagnostics
      . Texas mandates that the state can’t print any forms when severe diagnostics are present. Clear any severe diagnostic errors that show for Texas.
  2. Go to
    Organizer
    ,
    States
    , then
    Common State
    .
  3. In the
    General Information
    then
    Basic Return Information
    folder, select the tab for
    Return Information
    .
  4. Make sure the
    Column G, Final Return
    field is not selected for the Texas row.
  5. Go to
    Organizer
    ,
    States
    , then
    Common State
    .
  6. In the folder
    Print Suppression
    , make sure the field in the
    State Forms
    column isn't selected for Texas.
  7. Go to
    Organizer
    ,
    States
    ,
    Texas
    ,
    General Information
    .
  8. Under the
    General Information
    section, select
    YES
    for
    Corporation, limited liability company, professional association, limited partnership, or financial institution
    ,
  9. Verify that the
    This entity does not have NEXUS in Texas
    field isn't selected
  10. Verify that
    This entity is a disregarded entity
    isn't selected.
  11. In the
    No Tax Due Report
    section, verify the
    Passive entity as defined in Chapter 171 of the Texas Tax Code
    field isn't selected.
  12. Go to the section
    Payment of Tax During Preceding Tax Year (Mandatory)
    and make a selection other than Blank.

Manual Entering Multiple 05-102 Forms

The Public Information Report (05-102) and the Owner Information Report (05-167) can be added manually within a Single entity type return.
  1. Go to
    Organizer
    ,
    States
    ,
    Texas
    .
  2. In the
    Information Report - Manual Entry
    folder, go to the
    Public Information Report
    and
    Add New Taxpayer Name
    . This lets you make manual entries for the report. With information manually entered for one of the reports, a version of the report will print and e-file with that information to the exclusion of an automatically generated report.
  3. Under the
    Organizer
    ,
    States
    ,
    Texas
    ,
    Return Options
    folder, go to the
    Print Suppression
    section. Make sure the
    Manual Entry Form 05-102
    field isn't selected.
