Create chart of accounts

  1. Select
    Charts
    ,
    Federal
    , and then
    Accounts and Adjustments
    .
  2. Select
    Add Chart
    .
  3. Enter the year and name.
  4. For
    Master Chart
    , select
    Income Tax
    or
    Provision
    .
  5. To copy an existing chart of accounts, select a chart of TCC to copy.
  6. Select
    Save
    .

Deleting a chart of accounts

Once you create and assign a federal chart of accounts, you can't delete it until you first delete all binders that contain a trial balance that used this chart.
When editing and deleting accounts, consider accounts that are mapped in the federal chart of account cross-referencing. If you've previously mapped a prior year federal chart of account to the deleted account in the current year federal chart of account, then you must re-map to another account in the respective chart. This maintains the expected historical tax adjustment and prior year columns on the working trial balance (WTB) and reports.

Transfer TCC 001 detail to Organizer

For charts of accounts created manually or by rollover, TCC 001 descriptions and amounts default to not transferring to the detail boxes in the Organizer.
  1. Go to
    Charts
    Federal
    Accounts and Adjustments
    .
  2. Select the year, the specific chart of accounts, then
    More
    .
  3. Select
    Closing & Rounding Options
    from the dropdown.
  4. Mark
    Transfer TCC 001 Detail
    .
  5. Select
    Save
    .
