About your dashboard or home page

Your dashboard (or home page) gives you an overview of company data. Company inheritance (the parent and child company relationship) determines the data presented in the dashboard.

Global map

The global map and data counters area of the dashboard gives you data for the company selected in VIEW CONFIGURATIONS.
Yellow represents the tax jurisdictions where the company's configured to collect tax, and gray represents the tax jurisdictions where the company isn't configured to collect tax.

Data counters

Data counters give you specific information about the company selected in VIEW CONFIGURATIONS.
If the selected company inherits jurisdiction, mapping and customer data, then the data counter for the child company shows the same data as the parent company for the child company. You can identify the company (or group) from which data's inherited by going to the company's Groups & Inheritance page.
For example, ACME Holdings, Inc. is the parent company of ACME Pyrotechnics, Inc. On the Groups & Inheritance page, ACME Pyrotechnics, Inc. gets configured to inherit product mappings from ACME Holdings, Inc. In the dashboard, the Standard Mappings data counter shows the same number of configured product mappings for both companies.
Data counters include:
  • Tax jurisdictions
    - The number of countries and/or number of U.S. states and territories where the company's established and/or has nexus and that have the tax jurisdiction set up in the system's configuration menu. Text for this counter: Company
    [Company name]
is configured to collect tax in
    [number of]
    US States &
    [number of]
    Countries.
  • Standard mappings

    [number of]

    .

note
For migrated legacy data where additional groups were imported into Determination, the counters give you the data of the active, selected group in the company's Groups & Inheritance page.
