D2C merge tax acctg logs

In addition to the Input, Journal, and Ledger tax accounting logs, 2 ONESOURCE Indirect Tax Determination Merge tax accounting logs are available.
  1. D2C Review
  2. D2C Unreported Tax logs.
These logs can be used as an aid in reviewing and reconciling balance data imported into Sales and Use Tax Compliance using the ONESOURCE Indirect Tax Determination extract file. As with the first 3 logs, these 2 logs provide extracted information to comma delimited .csv files.

Determination Merge review

The D2C Review tax accounting log displays the records imported using the ONESOURCE Indirect Tax Determination extract file aggregated by location and place code, showing the gross, exemption, and tax amounts for each tax authority associated with the place code.
There are 3 review columns for tax in the D2C Review tax accounting log; Input, Ledger, and Review. The Input tax column's the tax from the extract input file. The Ledger tax column reflects the tax in the ledger after compute to move the input taxes to the ledger. The Review tax column's simply a computation of taxable times the tax rate found in the system for the tax authority as a comparison to the Input and Ledger tax.
There are instances where Sales and Use Tax Compliance and Determination differ as to the taxing authority level a tax is carried. Within the D2C Review tax accounting log there's a column labeled
Special
. This column will be blank or display Multi Tax or Tax Only. Multi Tax will display in the Special column when Determination carries the city, county, and district tax for a place code aggregated to a single tax authority level (city or county tax authority) and Sales and Use Tax Compliance carries the tax at each of the tax authority levels associated with the place code.
