Enter credit card and ACH payments with Kotapay and Practice CS

You'll need:
  • A Kotapay account.
  • Electronic payments turned on in Practice CS, or account information added to your clients.
  1. Select
    Actions
    , then
    Receipt & Adjustment Entry
    .
  2. Select
    Entry
    , then the
    Receipts
    tab.
  3. Enter a
    Control date
    .
  4. Enter the
    Bank account
    ,
    Date
    , and
    Client ID
    .
  5. Choose a
    Type
    :
    • Credit Card (CC)
    • Electronic Funds (ACH)
  6. Enter the payment
    Amount
    .
  7. Select
    More
    d next to
    Amount
    to apply the payment to the invoice.
  8. Press the
    Tab
    or
    Enter
    key.
  9. If you use Kotapay/CS Payment, choose a credit card or choose client bank account information.
    • If you haven't entered a entered a credit card or  ACH payment in the last 15 minutes, you'll be asked to sign in to CS Payment.
    • If the window didn't open, check that you've set up your firm for credit card and ACH processing correctly.

    • If you don't integrate Kotapay with Practice, refer to the Process ACH and credit card payments outside of Practice CS article.
  10. Complete all the boxes. If you have a credit card reader, you can use it to completed the boxes.
  11. Select
    OK
    to submit the payment information.
