Production Analysis report

The Production Analysis report includes information about staff time worked and client expenses incurred for the specified period. The report helps you determine the billable percentage, margin, and percentage of time spent on activities.

Information on the report

  • ID, Name / Description:
    ID and names of items you've selected for grouping the report.
  • Hours / Units:
    Total time and expense hours and units for the date range. These totals are further broken down into totals for admin, nonbillable, and billable items.
  • Billable %:
    Billable hours/units divided by total hours/units.
  • Total Hrs/Units:
    Total admin, nonbillable, and billable hours/units.
  • % Tot:
    Total hours/units for the current row as a percentage of the report total hours/units.
  • Billable Amt, % Tot:
    Total standard amount (the extended amount) for billable time and expense items, and the total hours/units for the current row as a percentage of the report total.
  • Cost, % Tot:
    Cost of all time and expense items (admin, nonbillable, and billable), and the total hours/units for the current row as a percentage of the report total.
  • M/U Factor:
    Billable amount divided by cost.
  • Margin, % Tot:
    Billable amount minus cost, and the total hours/units for the current row as a percentage of the report total.

Security permissions for reports

When you enable security permissions for a report on the
Security Groups setup
screen, Practice CS may also give access to view the data available on the report. Also, when you remove the permission to view data, Practice CS may also remove access to related reports.
Go to the
Privileges changed
pane on the
Security Groups setup screen
to check which permission changes Practice CS has made after you enable access to a report.
For this report, if you've not enabled permissions for the
Menu, Setup Menu, Clients, View
security option, Practice CS will enable full access to it.
If your firm has multiple offices, you may want to remove permissions to information for other offices.
