Transfer work-in-process (WIP) amounts

Follow these steps to transfer work-in-process (WIP) amounts from 1 client to another.
  1. Select
    Actions
    then
    Time & Expense Entry
    .
  2. Select
    WIP Transfer
    .
  3. Go to the From Criteria column and select the client for the WIP you want to transfer.
  4. Go to the To Criteria column and select the client you want to transfer the WIP to.
  5. Use the filter options in the WIP Selection section to display the WIP you want to transfer. The default filter settings are Entry Date / Is in the range / Period to Date.
  6. Select the change you want to make to the amounts of the selected transactions. You can change the following:
    • Recalculate, keep overrides
      (Default): Recalculates the selected entries based on the new criteria, but keeps manually overridden entries.
    • Recalculate
      : Recalculates the selected entries based on the new criteria.
    • Use this amount
      : Manually overrides the amount of WIP being transferred to the amount specified. You'll be prompted to enter an amount.
    • Do not recalculate
      : Keeps the original amount of the WIP entries being transferred, regardless of any other changes.
  7. Entries that meet your criteria are displayed. Mark the checkbox for each entry you want to include in the WIP transfer, or choose
    Select All
    to select all entries.
  8. Select
    Transfer Selected
    then
    OK
    .
