1040 E-file errors

CSUSBO e-file error

The employee street and city are required entry for the Foreign Employer Compensation (FEC) entered in Screen FEC or 1099M, or the Foreign Employer Pension (FEP) entered in Screen 1099R.
You'll get this error if the employee address entered on the 1099M, 1099R, or FEC screen isn't correct.

Solution

  1. Review each of the following screens. Some screens have multiple units. Make sure to review them all.
    • 1099M screen in the Income, Business, Rent & Royalty, Farm, and Farm Rental folders.
    • 1099R screen in the Retirement folder.
    • FEC screen in the Income folder.
  2. Review and correct the employee address according to these guidelines:
    • If the employee's address didn't change during the year and matches the 1099 form, leave the employee address fields blank.
    • If the employee address has changed or is different from the 1099 form, make sure the street address and city are correct.
    • If the employee address is a foreign address, make sure the
      State
       and
      Zip code
       fields are blank.
  3. Re-create and retransmit the e-file.
