F1310-518 e-file error

Form 1310, Name Control of the person claiming refund 'PersonNameControlTxt' and SSN of Person claiming Refund 'RefundClaimantSSN' must match the e-File database. (rule F1310-518)
You'll get this error if the Social Security number (SSN) and name combination on Form 1310 for the person claiming the refund doesn't match the IRS e-file database.

Solution

  1. Go to the General folder.
  2. Select the 1310 screen.
  3. For the personal representative or other person claiming the refund, check the
    SSN
    ,
    First name
    , and
    Last name
    fields to make sure they're correct.
  4. If there was a typo or wrong information, correct it. Then re-create and retransmit the e-file.
  5. If the name and SSN are correct, you'll need to file the tax return on paper. You can contact the IRS e-help desk at 866.255.0654 for more information.
