You'll need to paper file a return with this error or suppress the penalties.
To suppress the Form 2210 penalty, FTF, or FTP penalties and to enable you to e-file the return:
  1. Go to the
    Pen
    screen, in the
    Payments
    folder.
  2. In the Penalties, Interest and Exceptions section, select
1: Suppress Form 2210 penalty on return
    from the
    Form 2210
    dropdown list.
    note

  3. Mark the
    Late filing interest (Int)
    ,
    Failure to pay (FTP)
    , or
    Failure to file (FTF)
checkboxes to suppress the other penalties and interest.
    note
If you suppress the penalties, the IRS may calculate the penalties and send a bill to the taxpayer.
