IND-902 e-file error

The Primary SSN in the Return Header has been locked. The account was locked per the taxpayer's request. (value, rule IND-902)
You'll get this error if the taxpayer's SSN is locked per the taxpayer's request.

Solution

If the IRS issued a 6-digit identity protection PIN to the taxpayer, double check the PIN entered on the return.
  1. Go to the IDAuth screen in the Electronic Filing Folder.
  2. Verify the PIN entered in the
    Taxpayer
    field.
  3. If it's incorrect, correct it, then recreate and retransmit the return.
  4. If it's correct, you'll need to file the return on paper.
