SEIC-F1040-534 e-file error

For each 'QualifyingChildSSN' that has a value on Schedule EIC(Form 1040), if there is a value for Date of Death in the e-File database, then the Year of Death must not be less than 'TaxYr' in the Return Header. (value #########, rule SEIC-F1040-534-03)
The value represents the SSN of the child who is causing the rejection.
A qualifying child for the Earned Income Credit has a date of death on file in the IRS e-File database.

Solution

  1. Go to the
    1040
    screen, in the
    General
    folder.
  2. In the
    Dependent information
    statement, verify the SSN entered for the dependent included in the rejection.
  3. If incorrect, correct it, then recreate and retransmit the return.
  4. If correct, you will need to contact the IRS at 866.255.0654 or file the return on paper with Form 8948.
