SEIC-F1040-535 e-file error

For each child on Schedule EIC (Form 1040), 'QualifyingChildSSN' and 'ChildBirthYr' must match that in the e-File database. (value #########, rule SEIC-F1040-535-04)
The value represents the SSN of the child causing the rejection.
The SSN and date of birth for one of the qualifying children on Schedule EIC does not match what the IRS has on file.

Solution

  1. Go to the
    General
    input folder.
  2. Select the
    1040
    screen.
  3. Open the
    Dependent information
    statement.
  4. Check that the qualifying child's
    SSN
    and
    Date of Birth
    are correct.
  5. If there's a typo or incorrect data, correct it. Then re-create and retransmit the e-file.
  6. If the data is correct, have the taxpayer contact the SSA at 800.772.1213.
  7. If the SSN and year of birth continue to reject, file the return on paper with Form 8948.
