Pension exclusion

A Maryland resident or part-year resident may be able to subtract taxable pension or retirement annuity income if they were 65 years or older and/or totally disabled.
UltraTax CS uses the date of birth you enter on the federal
1040
screen to determine the age. To indicate the that taxpayer or spouse is permanently disabled, enter
X
for the spouse in the
Statement permanent & total disability
field on the federal
Cr
screen in the
Credits
folder.
UltraTax CS calculates a Maryland Pension Exclusion Worksheet in Form View to determine the allowable exclusion.
