Canceling scheduled electronic payments

You can't cancel transmitted and accepted electronic payments in the application. The taxpayer can cancel a payment online with a scheduled payment date at least 2 business days in the future. The taxpayer will need to sign in to their Online Service account.
For more information, go to Online Services for individuals. The taxpayer can revoke an electronic payment by calling the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance at 518-485-7884 no later than 5 business days before the date of payment withdrawal.
