Create multiple Form 05-102 and Form 05-167 when filing a unitary 1040 Texas return

File each entity included on the Texas Franchise Tax Affiliate Schedule (Form 05-166) and marked as a Corporation or LLC, a Public Information Reports (PIR) (Form 05-102) with the report. Each entity on the Affiliate Schedule indicated as an entity other than a Corporation or LLC needs to file an Ownership Information Report (OIR) (Form 05-167).
Follow these steps to create multiple Public Information Reports (PIR) in a 1040 client when filing a combined report:
  1. For each affiliate activity that requires a Form 05-102, go to the
    Gen
screen in the General folder and add a unit. Enter the Parent Entity EIN (mandatory), Taxpayer Name/Name of LLC, Address, the Taxpayer number, and the Secretary of State number (if known).
  2. Once the previous information in the
    TXGen
screen is complete, go to the
    TXOth
screen and enter the information. To print the return, mark either
No changes to the officers, directors, or members for this corporation
    or
    Officer, director or member information
. Texas also requires the name of the officer, director, or member and the telephone number.
If the entity is not a corporation or LLC, mark the checkbox on the TXGen screen and follow these steps to produce Form 05-167:
  1. For each affiliate activity that requires Form 05-167, go to the
    TXGen
screen in the General folder and add a unit. Enter the Parent entity EIN (mandatory), the Taxpayer Name/Name of the LLC, the Address, the Taxpayer Number, and the Secretary of State Number (if known).
  2. Once the previous information in the TXGen is complete, go to the
    TXOth
screen in the General folder and enter the information in the
General partnership, person or entity owns 10% or more interest in this reporting entity
    statement window.
