screens will populate the corresponding statement on the
UTOthWH
screen in the Payments folder and appear on Schedule W.
If you don't enter payer information in the federal screens, use the statements provided in the
UTOthWH
screen to include the payer name, federal EIN, state payer number and address for any withholding on Schedule W. The Utah state ID must be 14 characters ending in WTH or WMP. Remove spaces, hyphens, slashes, and all other special characters from the payer ID (for example, 12345678912WTH or 12345678912WMP). Failure to provide this required information in the electronic file delays refunds.
Unemployment, Social Security, and Railroad Tier 1 withholding doesn't require additional information other than the income and withholding you enter at the federal level.
Don't enter withholding for Utah in the
Other withholding
field on the federal
StPmt
screen in the Payments folder. That amount won’t transfer to the
UTOthWH
screen or Schedule W.
