Use a custom allocation scheme

A custom allocation scheme is a percentage or unit allocation that you enter once then save so that the allocation scheme is available for re-use.

Add a custom allocation

  1. Select
    Ptr Alloc
    to open the
    Special Allocation of
    window.
  2. Mark the
    Specially allocate
    checkbox, and select the
    Percentage
    or
    Units
    option.
  3. Enter the details of the partner allocation.
  4. Mark the
    Custom
    checkbox and enter a unique title to save the information.

Re-use a previously defined custom allocation on a single amount

  1. Select
    Ptr Alloc
    to open the
    Special Allocation of
    window.
  2. Mark the
    Specially allocate
    checkbox, and select the
    Percentage
    or
    Units
    option.
  3. Mark the
    Custom
    checkbox and select the custom allocation title from the dropdown.

Re-use a previously defined custom allocation on multiple amounts

  1. Select
    View
    , then
    Partner Information
    .
  2. Select
    Allocations
    ,
    Tasks
    , then
    Apply Custom Allocation
    from the menu bar.
  3. Select the desired custom allocation scheme in the
    Custom allocation to apply
    field.
  4. Select the various values you want to apply the designated custom allocation to.
    note
    If you select a product, activity, or screen checkbox, all values nested under the selection will also select.
  5. Select
    OK
    to close the
    Apply Custom Allocation
    window and assign the selected custom allocations to the marked values.

Modify a previously defined custom allocation scheme

  1. Select
    View
    , then
    Partner Information
    .
  2. Select
    Allocations
    and select
    Custom Allocations
    from the dropdown on the Allocations barge.
  3. Select the appropriate custom allocation scheme and make the necessary changes.
