Signature requirements for electronic filing

You need to complete and sign Form AZ-8879-C or AZ-8879-S before you file the return electronically. Arizona needs you to include the date the authorized officer signs the form in the e-file. Enter the signature date on the AZELF screen, or leave it blank if it matches the federal date you enter on the federal ELF screen. Don't mail Form AZ-8879-C or AZ-8879-S. The preparer holds the original forms and needs to have them available if Arizona asks for them.

Attachments

Arizona accepts PDF attachments in the electronic file. Arizona doesn't have specific naming conventions for the files you attach.
The following forms automatically generate as a PDF and attach to the electronic file:
  • General Footnote
  • NOL Worksheet
  • Consolidated NOL Worksheet
  • Consolidated/Combined Worksheet
  • Nonapportionable Income Worksheet
  • Allocated Income Worksheet
  • Form 320
  • Form 332
  • Form 345

Payment methods

Arizona accepts electronic funds withdrawal (direct debit), check or money order, and online payments for balance due returns. You can make partial payments.
You need to include bank information and a requested payment date when you request EFW. Arizona will use the bank information you enter on the federal Bank screen. If you have different bank information for Arizona, use the AZBank screen in the General folder.
