Exclude a nonresident shareholder from withholding tax on Form IT-2658

Follow these steps to exclude a nonresident shareholder from withholding tax on Form IT-2658.

Select View
, Shareholder Information
, then the New York
tab.

Do 1 of the following:

Enter 2
in the Nonresident filer
field if the taxpayer is exempt from withholding and an exemption certificate is needed.

Form IT-2658-E will print instead of Form IT-2658.

Enter 3
in the Nonresident filer
if the taxpayer is exempt from withholding and the exemption certificate is on file.

Neither Form IT-2658-E nor Form IT-2658 will print.
