To Do diagnostics

There are 3 types of To Do diagnostics:
  • Missing data
  • Event driven (via the Client Status System)
  • Impromptu

Missing Data Diagnostics

Missing Data Diagnostics inform you when client data was present in the input screen last year, but hasn’t yet been entered for the current year. Each field that's missing data is indicated with blue marks in the corners.
When you enter data in these fields, the blue corner indicators and missing data diagnostics are removed. If you don’t intend to add data for the marked fields, there are several ways to remove the markers and the missing data messages.
  • Right-click the input screen field and select
    Prior Year
    , then
    Acknowledge missing data
from the menu to acknowledge the current field.
  • Right-click the input screen field and select
    Prior Year
    , then
    Acknowledge all missing on screen
to acknowledge all fields of missing data on the current input screen.
  • Right-click any diagnostic message in the To Do tab that contains the name of an input screen field then select
    Acknowledge missing data
from the menu to acknowledge that field.
  • Right-click any diagnostic message in the To Do tab that contains the description of an input screen then select
    Acknowledge all missing on screen
from the menu to acknowledge all fields with missing data on that input screen.
After you've acknowledged the missing data diagnostic, the diagnostic message will be moved to an Acknowledged folder on the To Do tab. When you hover over an acknowledged message, a tooltip appears indicating which user acknowledged the message and at what time it was acknowledged. At any time, you can select to move an acknowledged message back to the active missing data list by right-clicking and selecting
Revert to missing data
.

Event-driven diagnostics

Event-driven diagnostics can be used to create a To Do diagnostic based on 1 or more of your Status System custom events. Select
Setup
,
Office Configuration
, then
Status
to create a potential To Do diagnostic for all clients based on a specific event and whether or not that event has been logged. For example, you could create a "Call Client" event and indicate that it should create a To Do diagnostic when that event has been logged, or you could create a "Final Review" event and indicate that it should create a To Do diagnostic when it isn't logged. As with missing data diagnostics, you can acknowledge event driven diagnostics within the Diagnostics window, or by logging the event in the Status System. To open the Status System, select
F5
.

Impromptu diagnostics

Impromptu Diagnostics can be used to create To Do diagnostics on a client-specific basis. It differs from a field note in that the diagnostic message will appear in both the Diagnostics window and the Diagnostic Report. To create Impromptu diagnostics at any time, select
Edit
,
Impromptu To Do
or right-click and select
Impromptu To Do
in any input screen. As with missing data diagnostics, you can acknowledge Impromptu To Do diagnostics.
