Texas Public Information Report (05-102)

Follow these steps to produce a 05-102:
  • 1065 Clients:
     Complete the appropriate data entry on the
    TXOth
     screen, located under the
    General
     folder. Either mark
    No changes
     to the officers, directors, or members for this corporation OR complete the officer, director or member information.
    • The type of entity on U.S.
      OthInf
       screen, located under the General folder, needs to have a
      Code 3
       for Domestic LLC or
      code 7
       for Foreign LLC selected to produce 05-102.
  • 1120 Clients:
     Complete the appropriate data entry on the
    Oth
     screen, located under the
    General
     folder in TX input screens.
  • 1040 Clients:
     Complete the appropriate data entry on the
    Oth
     screen, located under the
    General
     folder in TX input screens.
  • 1041 Clients:
     Complete the appropriate data entry on the
    Oth
     screen, located under the
    General
     folder in TX input screens.

Other notes regarding the 05-102

  • If filing a combined report (UBG), all of the 05-102's should and will print with the reporting entity.
  • It's possible to produce multiple schedules 05-102 and\or 05-167 forms on a 1040 client.
  • If filing a final return, per the Texas Comptroller's Office, forms 05-102 and 05-167 aren't required to be filed.
Internal use only
The Texas Public Information Report is to be filed by Corporations, LLC, LP, PA, and Financial Institutions. The Form populates when these type of returns are being filed, unless the entity is passive.
