Texas franchise: Report year on a final return
Per the Texas Comptroller's Office, the report year on a final return is the same as the year in which an entity ceases to exist. UltraTax CS will display the report year based on the accounting year end date year.
Accounting year end date for annual returns can't be beyond January 3 of the report year being filed. This doesn't apply to initial or final returns.
