Use NetClient Web Organizers while licensed to Onvio portals

If your Onvio firm uses a NetClient CS portal for Web Organizers, you can import them directly into UltraTax CS for data entry. To use this feature on a per-return-pricing (PRP) basis, follow these steps:
  1. Select
    Setup
    ,
    Office Configuration
    , then
    Onvio
    .
  2. In the Client Portals, select
    NetClient CS ($)
    , then
    Done
    .
    note
    The
    NetClient CS ($)
    option is only available to firms without an existing NetClient CS license.
  3. Select
    OK
    to restart UltraTax CS and apply the changes.
  4. When UltraTax CS restarts, it will integrate with the NetClient CS portals until you change the setting in Step 2 back to
    Onvio Client Center

    note
    • Make sure the portal system is active before creating the web organizer with the print process.
    • If you select Onvio Documents as your Document Management option and NetClient CS ($) for client portals, the application will upload organizer attachments back to Onvio during the organizer retrieval process.
    • You can only integrate 1 portal with an UltraTax CS office at a time. If you need to switch between the 2 portals, you'll have to change the settings each time, as needed.

Set up a 2nd NetClient CS-exclusive office

  1. Select
    Setup
    , then
    Office Configuration
    .
  2. Select
    Office Setup
    .
  3. Select the asterisk in the office list.
  4. Enter
    NetClient CS
    in the field next to the asterisk, then select
    Done
    .
  5. Make sure the
    NetClient CS office
    displays in the dropdown in the
    Office Configuration
    window.
  6. Select
    Onvio
    .
  7. Set
    Client portals
    to
    NetClient CS
    , then select
    Done
    .
  8. Select
    Setup
    , then
    Office Configuration
    .
  9. Change the dropdown to
    <default>
    or the name assigned to the original office.
  10. In the
    Onvio
    tab, make sure the
    Client portals
    are set to
    Onvio Client Center
    , then select
    Done
    .

Switch between offices

If you have 2 office options to choose from, you can associate yourself with either office as needed. To switch between them, follow these steps:
  1. Select
    Setup
    , then
    User Preferences
    .
  2. In
    My Settings
    , select the office, then
    OK
    .
  3. Select
    OK
    in the window prompting you to restart UltraTax CS.
