Migrate Planner CS data to Virtual Office or SaaS

Follow these steps to move Planner CS data from a local or network drive to Virtual Office CS or Software as a Service (SaaS).
  1. Back up data from your local installation of Planner CS
  2. Create a folder on your local hard drive:
    1. Double-click the
      My Computer
      icon.
    2. Double-click the
      C:\ drive
      .
    3. Select
      File
      ,
      New
      , then
      Folder
      .
    4. Name the folder
      UTPbackups
      .
  3. Open your local installation of Planner CS.
  4. Select
    File
    , then
    Backup
    .
  5. Use the tabs in the
    Backup/Check Out
    window to back up client plans, report sets, custom reports, watch window templates, report layouts, graphs, or letter templates as needed. In each tab, select the item you want to back up then
    Select
    , or use
    Select All
    .
  6. Select
    Done
    when you're finished selecting items to back up.
  7. In the
    Backup To
    window, go to
    C:\UTPbackups
    and select
    Save
    .
  8. Close the local installation of Planner CS.
  9. Restore data into the Virtual Office CS or SaaS installation of Planner CS
  10. Select
    Applications
    in the NetStaff tab of the navigation pane.
  11. In the Virtual Office CS screen, select the
    Planner CS
    icon to open the application.
  12. In Planner CS, select
    File
    ,
    Restore
    , then
    From a Planner CS Backup
    .
  13. Go to the
    UTPbackups
    folder on your local C:\ drive and select
    Open
    .
  14. Use the tabs in the 
    Restore/Check In
    window to restore items. In each tab, select the item you want to restore, then
    Select
    , or use
    Select All
    .
  15. Select
    Done
    when you're finished selecting items to restore.
You're now ready to work in Planner CS in the Virtual Office CS or SaaS environment.
