File locations for data

The
File Locations
 window displays the folder locations for various type of data.
To open the
File Locations
 window, select
Setup
, then
File Locations
.

CS Professional Suite tab

The fields in this tab specify the folder locations for this application and for other applications in the CS Professional Suite. This information is saved in an XML file that is specific to your computer and user sign in.
  • Backup/Restore
    : enter or go to the folder location to back up or restore client data files.
    Example:
    C:\WinCSI\Workpapers CS\Backup
  • CSA client
    : if converting data from Creative Solutions Accounting (CSA), enter or go to the location of your CSA client data files.
    Example: C:\WinCSI\CSAData
  • CSA global
    : if converting data from Creative Solutions Accounting, enter or go to the location for your CSA system files.
    Example: C:\WinCSI\CSASys
  • FileCabinet CS
    : if licensed for FileCabinet CS, this location is determined by the data location selected in FileCabinet CS in the Setup > System Configuration > Data Locations screen.
    Example: C:\WinCSI\FCabData
  • Onvio
    : if licensed for Onvio, enter or go to the folder location for files printed to Onvio.
    Example: C:\WinCSI\Onvio Data
  • Practice CS
    : if licensed for Practice CS, enter or go to the folder location of your Practice CS data.
    Example: C:\WinCSI\Practice CS Data
  • UltraTax CS
    : if licensed for UltraTax CS, enter or go to the folder location of your UltraTax CS data.
    Example: C:\WinCSI\UT<YY>Data, where <YY> represents the UltraTax CS tax year.

Import Data tab

The fields in this tab specify the default folder locations for data to be imported into
Workpapers CS
. This information is saved for the current user.
Enter or go to the folder location. For example:

Export Data tab

The fields in this tab specify the default folder locations for data to be exported from
Workpapers CS
. This information is saved in the firm database and applies to your entire firm.
Enter or go to the folder location. For example:
