Validation lodgment Error Taxonomy Load

You may get this error when trying to lodge a tax return.
Cause
This error is caused by McAfee Total Protection security software flagging one of Software Assistant's shortcuts in the Windows start menu. This file is then placed in quarantine and some of the taxonomy files will be deleted. The result of this is a disruption to validations, lodgments, and prefills. Prefill attempts will return to the generic error - 'No data is available. Please try again later.'
Solution
To fix this, you'll need to restore the quarantined file and add an exception for the McAfee to ignore the file.
  1. Open McAfee Total Protection.
  2. Go to
    Settings
    , and then
    Quarantined items
    .
  3. Look for
    Company tax return.lnk
. If there's multiple copies of this file, select the most recent one and Restore. Select Yes if you're prompted to overwrite the existing file.
  4. Go back to
    Settings
    , and then select
    Real-Time Scanning
    .
  5. Select
    Excluded Files
    , and then
    Add file
    .
  6. Next browse to C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Software Assistant\Help\Instructions 2020.
  7. Select the
    Company tax return
    , and then
    Open
. This will restore all missing files.
  8. Try lodging one tax return to validate the error is resolved.
