Add an additional disclosure narrative to a report

Add an additional disclosure narrative to a report
The easiest method to add narrative is to add a new paragraph to the report. Alternatively, you can add the narrative as an Additional Disclosure.
Method 1 — Add a new paragraph:
Open the report in Edit mode.
On the
Report Tree
tab, select
New
, then
Blank paragraph
.
Select the paragraph in the report, then select
Edit
to enter your text.
Method 2 — Add an additional disclosure:
Open the client.
On the
Additional Disclosures
tab, then select
Item 1
(or an unused Item in the list).
On the
Narrative
tab, enter a
Title
and a
Company Narrative
.
Select
OK
, then run the report you want to add the narrative to.
In the report, right-click on the heading of the note you want to add narrative to, then select
Highlight in Report Structure
from the context menu.
Right-click on the highlighted element within the Report Structure, then select
View
from the context menu.
Select
Design
to view the template in Design mode.
Point to any position on the template, then select
Insert New
from the pop-up
New
button.
Go to
Basic Elements
in the
Report Element Templates
folder, then select
Blank Paragraph.

This adds a paragraph template within the folder in the Report Structure.
Right-click on the new paragraph in the Report Structure, then select
View
.

The page will show next to the Report Structure.
Point to any position on the page until a dotted-line appears, then double-click it to open the
Edit Text
window.
Select
fx
,
Financial period data
, then
Additional disclosures
.
Go to the additional disclosures in which the data was entered.
Find the
Current period
data for both the narrative and either the Group or Company narrative, select those in turn, then
OK
.
note
The data will appear in the
Edit Text
window.
If there's a title, select it in the
Edit Text
window, then
B
to apply bold formatting.
Select
OK
to return to Design mode.
Select
Preview
, then
Full Report
.
