You can change the presentation of figures in your accounts reports so that brackets are added or removed to show a credit or debit.
Right-click on the table that contains the brackets you want to remove, then select
Highlight in report structure
from the context menu.
In the
Report Structure
, right-click on the template you've highlighted and select
View
from the context menu.
Select
Design
to view the template in Design Mode.
Double-click on the data you want to change.
Double-click on the figures you want to change.
The Edit Section dialog has groups of controls for
Show section breakdown
and
Show section total
. If your template has a breakdown and a total, you'll need to choose options from both these sections.
Select either
Debit
or
Credit
in the
Show section breakdown
and
Show section total
options as needed to add or remove brackets from the figures.

Select
Preview
to return to Preview mode.
Select
Full report
to run the report.
If the values you've changed are tagged for iXBRL purposes, then you'll also need to take the following steps to reverse the tags on the values to reflect your changes.
Right-click on the table that contains the brackets you want to remove, then select
Highlight in report structure
from the context menu.
In the
Report Structure
, right-click on the template you've highlighted, then select
View
from the context menu.
Select
Edit XBRL
to view the template in Edit XBRL mode.
Double-click the part of the report you've changed.
Move the cursor to the left until you can reveal and select the
Tag section
button.
Select one of the rows in the iXBRL section, then
Edit
.

The rows that make up the iXBRL section have a blue background.
Mark the
Reverse sign
checkbox, then select
OK
.
Example
Repeat steps 15 and 16 until you've reversed the tag for all the rows in the iXBRL section.
Select
OK
in all windows to close them and save your changes.
When you run the report in
Preview
mode the report will be shown withe the correct iXBRL tags.
