Troubleshoot why variables aren't displaying on printed forms
If you add a variable or change something in a layout, make sure you also change each copy of the layout.
For example, if you add a Box 14 variable to the W-2 Copy A layout, you'll also need to add the variable to every other W-2 layout for that year if you want it to display on all copies of the form.
Also, make sure you didn't add text variables and then try to print using a preprinted paper form option. The preprinted filing method suppresses all text variables.
