Troubleshoot 1099 forms not displaying

Follow these steps to troubleshoot why 1099 forms aren't displaying.

Hidden forms

Check for hidden forms in the Process Client Forms screen:
  1. Select
    File
    , then
    Process Client Forms
    .
  2. Select
    Print Options
    .
  3. Check the Copy to Hide section and clear any marked checkboxes for forms you want to display.
Check for hidden forms in the
Process Payroll Tax Forms
screen:
  1. Select
    Actions
    , then
    Process Payroll Tax Forms
    .
  2. Select
    Print Options
    .
  3. Clear any marked checkboxes for forms you want to display.

Active date

  1. Select
    Setup
    , then
    Clients
    .
  2. Select the
    Main
    tab.
  3. Make sure the
    Active date
    in the Client Information section is within the tax year for the forms you're processing. For example, the
    Active date
    should be before 2023 for 2022 tax forms.

Payroll tax form start date

  1. Select
    Setup
    ,
    Clients
    , then the
    Payroll Information
    tab.
  2. Verify the payroll tax form start date. If it's set for a future year, the form won't display. For example, if the payroll tax form start date is set to 1/1/2025, then you won't be able to process 2024 payroll tax forms for this client.

Secondary client

If the client is a secondary client that's part of a payroll consolidation group, it's expected that the payroll tax forms will be processed through the client marked as the primary client. A secondary client can't process payroll tax forms. The primary client will need to do it.
