Set up a client's employees for W-2 processing only

Use one of these methods to enter W-2 information for clients that you don't provide live payroll services for.
  • Use the Spreadsheet Import wizard to import employee data and earnings for the year.
  • Enter a year-to-date payroll check for each employee:
    1. Select
      Actions
      , then
      Enter Transactions
      .
    2. Enter the total amounts that should appear on the W-2.
  • Manually enter earnings amounts for each employee:
    1. Select
      Actions
      , then
      Edit Payroll Tax Forms
      .
    2. Select
      W-2
      for the form type.
    3. Manually enter earnings amounts in the
      Employee Data
      tab.
