Version 2022.4.0 release notes

We released version 2022.4.0 on December 19, 2022 with the following changes.
After July 12, 2022, Microsoft will no longer support SQL Server 2012 or earlier. Therefore, as of the v.2022.2.0
Accounting CS
release, scheduled for late June 2022, your firm must have SQL Server 2014 or higher installed on the servers that run
Accounting CS
. See Discontinued support for Microsoft SQL Server 2012 for details and steps you can take to continue using
Accounting CS
without interruption.
note
This change doesn't affect firms using
Accounting CS
on Virtual Office or Software as a Service (SaaS).

General

We've addressed an issue that caused an error to occur during attempts to retrieve transactions in the Bank Feeds portlet of the Bank Feeds Dashboard.

Accounting

We've updated the tax codes that are available for selection in the Chart of Accounts screen adn the Enter Trial Balance screen for integration with the 2022 version of UltraTax CS and GoSystem Tax RS.
We've updated the Tax Code Listing PDF for the 2022 tax year.

Import of client data from QuickBooks Online

We've updated the import of the Check Purchase transactions and Credit Card Purchase transactions to include transaction descriptions based on the memo text when the payee is blank in QuickBooks Online. (Idea Incubator #738)

Reports

We've updated the Tax Code Worksheet accounting report for the 2022 tax year.
note
If your firm has modified the predefined version of a report,
Accounting CS
will not overwrite your existing report with an updated version. If this is the case, you will need to make the necessary changes to your customized report manually, or you will need to restore the latest predefined version using the Report Designer. To do the latter, select the report from the Reports List pane in the Report Designer and then choose
File > Restore Default
.

General - Payroll

  • Arizona.
    We've updated the
    Gross taxable wages
field in the State Withholding section of the Payroll Taxes tab in the Employees screen to include the new 2023 rates. For 2023 payroll checks, the application will use the default rate of 2.0% for the state withholding calculation if an employee still has an old 2022 (and prior) rate selected.
  • Indiana.
The Indiana Department of Revenue has released Form WH-4, effective October 1, 2022. This form offers an additional exemption for adopted qualifying dependents. If an employee elects to claim this exemption, you'll need to increase the value in the
