Change the balance sheet report name

You may have attempted to change the title of the Balance Sheet and found that it remained the same when you previewed the financial statement. This occurred because there is a conditional expression within cell A2 of the header section.
That conditional expression is designed to print
Statement of Financial Position
if the client entity type is a non-profit organization (990). If the client is something other than a 990, the words
Balance Sheet
will print.

Open the balance sheet

  1. Select
    File
    , then
    Report Designer
    .
  2. Select
    Financial Statements
    , then double-click the
    Balance Sheet - Current Year
financial statement to open it in the design grid.
Use 1 of the following 2 processes to change the heading in the Balance Sheet.

1: Update the conditional expression

  1. Select into cell A2 within the header.

    Format
    , then

box and replace them with a new title.
