Change the basis of a report

You can customize how your report calculates its numbers. This lets you create reports that show exactly the information you need, whether it's based on actual figures, budgets, or other data types.
Sometimes you might want to change how your report calculates its numbers. Follow these steps to change the basis for a report.
  1. Select
    File
    , then
    Report Designer
    .
  2. Select the
    +
    next to the document type folder.
  3. Double-click a report to open it.
  4. Save a backup (recommended):
    1. Select
      File
      , then
      Save As
      .
    2. Give your report a new name.
  5. Select the cell you want to change in the design grid.
  6. In the Cell Properties section of the Design Tools frame, select a new basis from the dropdown.
  7. Select
    File
    , then
    Save As
    to save your changes.
