Delete Firm Report Profiles associated with other data

You may receive the following message while deleting a Firm Report Profile:
The Firm Report Profile <Profile_Name> cannot be deleted because it is associated with other data
This message appears when a Firm Report Profile is assigned to a client. You’ll need to remove the Firm Profile from the client before you can delete it from the firm.
Follow these steps to locate the clients that are using the Firm Report Profile and delete it from the client's profile.
  1. Select
    Setup
    Firm Information
    Firm Report Profiles
    .
  2. Select and edit the Firm Report Profile that you want to delete.
  3. Change the
    Description
    box by adding a letter or number at the end of the report profile name. It doesn’t matter what you enter, any small change will let you continue to the next step.
  4. Select
    Enter
    to save the profile.
  5. The clients that are set up to use the profile will appear on the
    Update Client Report Profiles
    window. Make a note of the clients listed in the left column.
  6. Select
    Cancel
    .
  7. Select
    Setup
    , then
    Report Profiles
    screen and select the client. Select the report profile and select the delete button. Repeat this step for each client listed from Step 5.
    Once the profile is deleted from each client, select
    Setup
    Firm Information
    Firm Report Profiles
    , then delete the
    Firm Report Profile
    .
