Fix extra spaces in a report

Sometimes you might see extra spaces between the header and body of your report. Follow these steps to fix this.
  1. Save a backup of your report:
    1. Select
      File
      , then
      Save As
      .
    2. Give your report a new name.
  2. Open your report for editing:
    1. Select
      File
      , then
      Report Designer
      .
    2. Select the
      +
      next to the document type folder.
    3. Double-click the report to open it.
  3. Remove vertical centering:
    1. Select
      File
      , then
      Page Setup
      .
    2. Go to the
      Paper
      tab.
    3. Clear the
      Vertically
      checkbox in the Center on Page section.
    4. Select
      OK
      .
  4. Select
    File
    , then
    Save
    to save your changes.
  5. If there are still extra spaces in the report:
  6. Select a cell near the blank space.
  7. Put your cursor at the end of the cell's content in the
    Contents
    field (similar to the formula bar in Microsoft Excel).
  8. Use the Delete key to remove any spaces after the content.
  9. Repeat for other cells with nearby blank space.
  10. Select
    File
    , then
    Save
    to save your work.

    Restore Default
    to go back to the original report.
