Local installation limitations for CS Professional Suite

You can install CS Professional Suite and set it up in several ways.
There are some limitations when you're installing CS Professional Suite applications. Review the following instances to help you understand the limitations for a given setup.

Local install, data stored locally, non-network licenses

With this installation, only one person can use the application at a time. If you're trying to use the application on a different computer, then the first person will have to close the application before you can use it.
note
You can use a P2P, or peer-to-peer, connection to share data between multiple computers. If you want to be able to use the application on multiple computers at the same time, then you should purchase a network license.

Local install, data stored on a server, non-network licenses

With this installation, your data is stored on a server but can only be used by one computer at a time. You might use this is if you're trying to save storage space on your computer, or if you are backing up your data for use with a third-party.
note
This operates the same as the previous installation, and only one person can use the application at a time. If you need to have more than one person using the application, then you should purchase a network license.

Local install, data stored on a server, network licenses

With this installation, multiple people can use the application on different computers at a given time. You will need an active connection to the server to access your data. This means that if you're outside the office, for example, you may not have access to your data.
For the best results, make sure you're connected to a server that meets or exceeds your application's system requirements. You can also install the application on the server.
