Password policy for Checkpoint User Administration

In order to comply with internal security and industry best practices, Checkpoint User Administration System passwords are now encrypted. This will affect you in the following ways:
  • You will need a self-created password if you want to be able to access your Checkpoint User Administration System account on multiple devices and browsers.
    note
To enable saving your username and password on multiple devices you will need to enter the same password on each device. If you change your password, you will be required to change it in all places including any other device or application (such as Speedlink, OneSource, and Ultratax) that have the old password stored.
  • Your password will not be visible on the View My User Profile page.
  • Site Admins will also not be able to retrieve your password, and will only be able to reset/change the password for you. Upon a password change/reset, you will receive an email notification for the same with a temporary password which you will be forced to change the next time you log in.
  • Once the change password process has been completed, you will receive a confirmation message that the password has been changed. The password details, however, will not be included in the email.
    note
    If you select the
    Forgot My Password
option at login, a temporary password will be sent to you and you will be forced to change your password on your next login.
