About the Workpapers tab

Use the Workpapers tab to manage the workpapers for each engagement.

Add, edit, and view workpapers

The Workpapers tab is a table that helps you to manage the workpapers for each engagement. If licensed, you can add workpapers to Engagement Manager from the following Sources:
View workpapers in Engagement Manager and Check Out workpapers while you edit them.

Manage sign offs

Apply Workpaper Properties

You can apply Roll Forward and Finalize properties for each workpaper.

Organize workpapers with Folders and Notes

  • Use folders to organize your workpapers. Engagement Manager creates Folders for you according to the template you've used to create your engagement and you can also add and delete folders.
  • Drag and drop to move workpapers into Folders and arrange the order of Folders and workpapers.
  • Rename Folders.
  • Add Notes to explain aspects of workpapers.

Customize the table and view

  • Use
    Show/Hide Columns
    to choose which columns to show.
  • Drag-and-drop columns in the table to re-arrange them.
  • Create and save column filters.
  • Choose
    List View
    to show a list of workpapers without folders.

Create reports about the engagement

  • Create reports from a variety of templates, such as the Account grouping report, Journal Entry report, and Tax Code report.
  • Save reports as Report files or workpapers.
  • Export reports to Excel.
