Clients missing or not listed on Open Client window

If not all clients are listed when you select
File
then
Open Client
, you can:
  • Check the Focus area of the
    Open Client
    window and verify that all of the entity checkboxes are marked (1040, 1120, etc.).
  • Verify that the
    Event
    field reads
    All clients, regardless of status
    .
  • Make sure the correct data location is listed at the top of the
    Open Client
    window.
If the client still isn't available, do the following:
  1. Close the
    Open Client
    window.
  2. Select
    Help
    ,
    Repair
    , then
    Rebuild Client List
    .
  3. After the process completes, go to
    File
    then
    Open Client
    to verify if the client is available.
If the client still isn't available, then the client will need to be restored from a backup.
