Assign or change a master password

You can assign a master password to restrict access to security options and other system settings. Follow these steps to assign or change a master password.
  1. Select
    Setup
    , then
    System Configuration
    .
  2. Enter the master password in the
    Security
     tab and select
    Continue
    . You can skip this step if you haven't assigned a master password yet.
  3. Select
    Modify
     to enter and verify a new master password (8 characters maximum, not case sensitive).
  4. Select
    OK
    .
tip
If you forget your master password, the licensee of the firm should call 800.968.0600, press 1 to speak with a Customer Service Representative, and ask the representative to help you obtain a temporary password. You can then enter the temporary password in
Setup
,
System Configuration
, the
Security
 tab, select
Modify
, and reset the master password.
