Enable confirmations in AdvanceFlow

With banking confirmation tools integrated with your audit methodology and engagement manager, Checkpoint Engage and AdvanceFlow, you can:
  • Manage client accounts.
  • Send in-network confirmation requests.
  • View and track the status of requests.
  • Save completed confirmation and reports as Workpapers.
  • Complete audit confirmations from your engagement management solution.
You can enable confirmations within AdvanceFlow either when you add a new engagement or edit an existing one in AdvanceFlow.
  1. For a new engagement:
  2. In AdvanceFlow, select
    Add new engagement
    .
  3. In Step 2 of the process, turn on
    Enable Confirmation
    .
  4. Complete the process to add the engagement.
  5. For an existing engagement:
  6. Select
    Open engagements
    .
  7. Choose the client, then the engagement to add it to your
    Engagement dashboard
    .
  8. Double-click the name of the engagement to view it.
  9. Select the
    Properties
    tab from the navigation pane.
  10. Select the
    Content
    tab.
  11. Turn on
    Enable Confirmation
    , then select
    Save
    .

Provide authorization and complete confirmation

Authorization

When you enable Confirmation within an AdvanceFlow engagement, you'll need to give permission and connect the engagement with the correct Confirmation client. Enter the email address associated with your Confirmation account.
One time, you'll need to go into the profile settings of the Confirmation application to grant AdvanceFlow access.
To do this:
  1. Select
    User Profile
    , select
    Settings
    .
  2. Select
    AdvanceFlow
    from the 3rd Party Authorization dropdown, then select
    Save
    .
  3. Return to AdvanceFlow and select
    Ok
    .
  4. Then, select the client. Only Confirmation clients for which you are the lead auditor will be available to you in AdvanceFlow.
Once the Confirmation client has been successfully linked to the AdvanceFlow engagement, you'll be able to add, edit, and delete accounts, manage signers, create requests from the
Confirmations
tab. In the
Confirmations
tab of the AdvanceFlow engagement, all active and inactive clients will be listed, and you can add, edit, or delete from the
Actions
column.

Complete confirmations

Confirmation requests that you have sent or that have been shared with you, can be viewed from the Status tab or the Confirmation tab. To quickly save completed confirmations to the Engagements Workpapers from the Confirmations tab, be sure to:
  1. In the
    Actions
    column, select
    More
    .
  2. Select
    Save
    to Workpapers.
The completed confirmation or the control log will be added to the top of the workpaper tree.
