FirmFlow notes

The
Notes
tab provides a consolidated view of Permanent, Review, Assembly, Delivery notes, and other custom notes your firm has defined. You can add, close, open, or delete any of these note types from the
Notes
tab. In addition, you can undock a
Note
window and continue reviewing other workflow tabs for simultaneous viewing.

Add a note

  1. Select the
    Home
    link in the GoFileRoom toolbar.
  2. Select the
    My Tasks
    tile to open the
    My Work
    screen.
  3. Select a folder in the grid, and then select the Action icon image icon in the Action column to open the
    FirmFlow Folder
    .
  4. Select the
    Notes
    tab, and then select
    Options
    and choose
    Add New Note
    .
  5. Enter your note in the text area.
  6. Select the note's type:
    • Use
      Review notes
      to communicate instructions between users about the preparation and review of an engagement without requiring external communications like phone messages, handwritten notes, or emails. Review notes can also include a specific resolution (response) entered in the workflow and be marked as closed once it is resolved.
    • Use
      Permanent notes
      for information that should be retained when the workflow has been completed or rolled forward.
    • Use
      Assembly notes
      for the assembly process. They may be added from the
      Forms
      or
      Notes
      tabs.
    • Use
      Delivery notes
      to complement delivery instructions. These types of notes may be viewed and added from the
      Delivery Instructions
      or
      Notes
      tabs.
  7. Select
    OK
    to save the note.
If there are no notes currently in the workflow, the notes section is blank.

Undock notes

To improve usability with the workflows, you can undock the
Notes
tab in a separate window. This allows you to review other areas of the workflow while having the associated notes available in a separate window.
To undock the
Notes
window, select the small
Open Notes Window
icon.
The notes with complete functionality will be available in a new pop-up window.
