Add notification rules for documents and workflows

Follow these steps to add notification rules for documents and workflows in GoFileRoom.
  1. Select
    Home
    in the GoFileRoom toolbar.
  2. Select
    Notification Rules
    .
    If
    Home
    isn't displayed, contact your firm's GoFileRoom administrator and make sure you're set up as a homepage user.
  3. Select Add Notification Rule
    Add
    , then
    Document Rule
    or
    Workflow Rule
    .
    Step 1
    : Rules Action And Recipients – Define the rule action, persons to notify, then select
    Next
    .
    Step 2
    : Conditions (optional).
    Specify the conditions for the selected action
    • By Users or groups
      : Select
      Users
      ,
      Groups
      , or
      External Users
      from the dropdown menu, select users or groups in the list, then select
      OK
      . You can filter the list by user, and sort the list by ID, name, country, or age.
    For the following items, expand your selection and choose the
    Select
    button to choose the items in the list that you'd like to include, and then select
    Done
    .
    • in this drawer
    • with a file type extension
    • with a size in a specified range
    Select
    Next
    to continue to step 3, or
    Done
    to finish.
    Step 3
    : Exceptions (optional) - Select exceptions as needed, then select
    Done
    .
