Configuring an SFTP Connection

SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol) connections let users automatically run reports in Tracker, and send those reports to a secure location on your company's servers. To begin using this feature:
  • A Tracker Admin must turn on Report Scheduler.
  • You will need some information from your company's IT department to configure SFTP connections in Tracker.
  • When Report Scheduler is turned on and SFTP connections are configured, SFTP can be selected as an AP route delivery option.

Before You Begin

You will need to request from your IT department the following information:
  • Host (required)—the network address of the SFTP receiving server.
  • Port (required)—the selected port of the SFTP receiving server.
  • Path (optional)—the selected path for the documents on the SFTP receiving server.
  • Public key fingerprint (optional)—the multi-character identification of the SFTP receiving server. If no Public key fingerprint is listed, Tracker will not query for one.
User ID and Password refer to the user's credentials for the SFTP server (not a user's Tracker Account). If the user does not know this information, you will need to speak with your IT department.
