Receiving Notice of an Invoice for Review

There are three ways a user can receive notice that an invoice is pending their review: An Action Items alert, an optional email notification, and an alert on the matter invoices page.

Timing and Method of Pending Invoice Notifications

Tracker notifies the user who is responsible for reviewing and approving an invoice in three ways:
  • Action Items alert: The user responsible for the invoice will receive a notice on his or her Action Items. For more information, see Alerts and Notifications . The Action Items alert is immediate; as soon as the invoice is pending the person's review, the alert shows up on the user's Action Items and the pending invoices page.
  • Email alert: The user responsible for the invoice can also receive email alerts of new invoices. For more information about enabling email notifications, see Setting Your User Preferences. The email alert is not sent immediately. Tracker checks for new invoices pending review and sends alert emails at several times throughout the day and night.
  • Invoice page within matter: The user responsible for the invoice will see a red asterisk on the Invoices page within the matter. This alert appears immediately when the invoice is pending the user's review.

Invoice Notification Recipients

Users only receive alerts and notifications when the invoice is pending their review. If the invoice is routed to several people for review, the reviewers will not receive an alert or notification until the invoice is pending the individual's review.
