Delaying or Resending the New User Email

In some instances, you may want to create the user in Tracker, but you are not ready for the user to receive the new user email. For example, if you are setting up the system and want to add the user to matters, you need to created the user.
Tracker lets you create a user in the system without immediately sending them the new user email. To hold the new user email when creating the new user, when creating the user, select
Hold user notification until I specify or user is added to a matter
. You can then send the new user email at a later date.
The new user email will automatically be sent when user is added to a matter. Even if you have specified to hold the new user email, when you add a user to a matter, the Tracker system will automatically send the new user email.

Sending New User Email to all users who have not received it

When new users are created, the person creating the user can prevent the new user email from being sent to the user. Typically this occurs during implementation when the system is being set up but the new user email is held to be sent at a later date. To send the new user email to ALL users for which the new user email was held, do the following:
  1. Click
    Users
    >
    User list
    from the left navigation.
  2. On the toolbar, click the three small dots icon, then select
    Email new users
    . Tracker displays a report of any users who have not been sent a new user email, and you will receive a prompt whether you want to proceed to send the new user email or cancel.
How to find out if there are any users who have not been sent the new user email
If you want to determine which users have not been sent the new user email, click
Email New Users
. If all users have been sent the new user email, Tracker displays the following message:
New user emails have already been sent to all users in the system.

Sending the New User Email to a Specific User

Rather than sending the New User Email to all users who have not received the New User Email, you can instead send it to individual users. Follow the same instructions in the next section for resending the new user email.

Resending the New User Email to users who had already been sent a new user email

If a user cannot find the new user email, you can resend the new user email:
  1. Click
    Users
    >
    User list
    from the left navigation.
  2. Click
    Edit
    next to the name of the user whose user profile you would like to edit to display the user's profile. To find the user, you may need to change the user listing using the drop down menus at the top of the page and then click the
    Change view
    button.
  3. From the toolbar, click the three small dots iconand select
    Reset password.
If you reset the new user password, Tracker will reset the user's Tracker account password and randomly generate a new password. You will receive a confirmation notice first.
