Notification of Disputed, Reduced, or Rejected Invoices

If your client rejects or disputes an invoice or approves an invoice for a reduced amount, Tracker automatically sends you an email notification with more information. You also receive an Action Items alert.
Tracker automatically sends an email notification of reduced, rejected, or disputed invoices to the following users:
  • The user who posted the invoice.
  • The Lead Outside Counsel specified in the matter (if the invoice was posted by the lead firm for the matter). The Lead Outside counsel will also receive an Action Items alert.
The following example shows an email notification for a manually rejected invoice:

An invoice also can be Auto-Rejected if your client has set up applicable rules for certain types of audit/billing guidelines violations including: new Timekeeper, Change in Timekeeper Rate, Expense Guidelines violations and Billing Period Audits.

An invoice also might contain rates that were Auto-Reduced or Auto-Rejected (reduced to zero) if your client set up applicable rules for certain types of audit/billing guidelines violations including: new Timekeeper, Change in Timekeeper Rate and Expense Guidelines violations.

Moved Invoice Email Notification

When a company user moves an invoice, Tracker automatically sends an email to the firm user who posted the invoice. The following examples shows an email notification for an invoice that was moved by a company user:

Action Items Alerts

Tracker provides Action Items alerts for any law firm user who is a Matter Administrator or Matter Editor in the matter for which the invoice was reduced or rejected.
